ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Zachary Frazee

Zachary Frazee, Artistic Director of Frazee Feet Dance, is a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Rochester, NY. He founded Frazee Feet Dance in June of 2018, and the company had its premier performance in the 2018 Rochester Fringe Festival: Frazee Feet Dance: A Compilation of Choreography by Zachary Frazee. Prior to this, Frazee received his BFA in Dance from SUNY Brockport in 2014 where he received several scholarships and awards, including the Bette Bailey Excellence in Dance Scholarship and Monserrat Fund for Dance Award. Upon receiving his degree, he joined the New York State Ballet as a Company Dancer and Assistant Rehearsal Director. He danced with NYSB from 2014-2017, and recently joined BIODANCE, a modern dance company based in Rochester, as a Company Dancer. Frazee has also worked and trained with companies and artists such as James Hansen Assemblage Dance, Flower City Ballet, Northwest Dance Project, Saratoga City Ballet, Nacre Dance Company, William Evans, Cheryl Johnson, Rachel Keane & Company, Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, and, of course, Frazee Feet Dance. He has performed locally and nationally at events such as the Rochester Fringe Festival, DUMBO Arts Festival, Pasadena Dance Festival, the 11th Annual Richmond Choreographer’s Showcase, Dance With Utica, Dance Days of Buffalo and the Movement and Dance Festival at Nazareth College. His choreographic work has been presented locally with the New York State Ballet and Frazee Feet Dance, throughout New York City, and at events such as the Rochester Fringe Festival, Brockport Alumni Dance Choreographer’s Showcase, Contemporary Choreographer’s Showcase at Dance Days of Buffalo, Penfield Dance Team Showcase, Kaleidoscopic Domain Dance Concert, the Vision of Sound New Music & Dance Festival, Dance With Utica, SUNY Brockport Graduation Dances and several local dance competitions. Frazee also teaches locally at three different dance schools: Ballet Prestige, Fitzsimmons Dance Factory, and Jody B’s Studio of Dance, where he mainly teaches ballet and modern technique. When he is not teaching at these studios, Frazee is commissioned for private lessons and guest teaches/choreographs at other dance studios, universities, festivals and events.

Alex Alletto

Alex Alletto originally from Rochester, graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in dance under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. There she performed in works by Beth Gill, Curt Haworth, Katie Swords, Jesse Zaritt and Sidra Bell. After graduating Alex performed professionally with ClancyWorks Dance Company in Washington DC. After completing her contract Alex attended the American Dance Festival and had the privilege to perform works by Shen Wei Dance Arts. Alex is now back in Rochester performing with BIODANCE, Frazee Feet Dance, electricGrit dance, works by Heather Roffe, Jim Hansen and, Mariko Yamada.

Josh Ambrose

Josh Ambrose is excited to be working with Frazee Feet Dance company for the first time inSomewhere in between and looking forward to continue working with the company in the future. Originally from the Rochester, NY area, he is glad to be back working as a freelance dancer, choreographer, musician, actor and teacher. He recently graduated with his BFA in Dance from SUNY Fredonia and continuing his education in Athletic Training at Monroe Community College. He would like to thank Zachary Frazee and all the company members for the experience this far.

Laura Murawski

Murawski (Rochester, NY) has had the pleasure of dancing with Frazee Feet Dance since January 2018. She graduated from of The Department of Dance at The College at Brockport SUNY receiving her BFA in Dance and minor in Political Science May 2018. Laura teaches Pure Barre, Dance and Pilates, and she is pursuing her 200 hour Yoga Certification at Pele Yoga. You can also see Laura perform a new work by James Hansen at Merged 7 in this years Rochester Fringe Festival. In addition to working and touring with Frazee Feet Dance, Laura has performed works by Heather Roffe, Vanessa Van Wormer, Brad Parquette and performed in the Tricia Bown residency at The College at Brockport, SUNY in fall 2017. In her free time you can find Laura cooking, baking and exploring the outdoors with her friends and family.

Erika Ruegemer

Erika Ruegemer is a trained dancer from the Twin Cities, Minnesota. She began dancing at the age of 5. Erika received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. After graduating she pursued her passion for professional dance with ARENA Dances, Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota), gloATL (Atlanta, Georgia), PUSH Physical Theatre, FuturPointe Dance and Flower City Ballet (Rochester, New York). She has also performed with several local companies including Stilla Dance, Heather Roffe Dance, and Frazee Feet Dance. Erika is the Founding Director of Rochester Dance Theatre. Zoe Cushman Walders

Zoe Walders is a dancer and choreographer from Rochester, NY with a BA in Dance from SUNY Potsdam. She is thrilled to be performing with Frazee Feet Dance. Other recent performance credits include Hettie Barnhill’s Create a Space NOW, PUSH Physical Theater, and presenting and performing her piece, Sonata for Soloist at Rochester’s Dances at MuCCC Festival.

Margaret Wilsch

Margaret Wilsch is a dancer and student originally from Rochester, New York. Having lived and danced in both Syracuse and Rochester, Margaret has trained with Ballet and Dance of Upstate New York, the Draper Center for Dance Education, and with New York State Ballet in their Graduate Program. She has studied techniques all across the dance spectrum includingCecchetti, Vaganova, Balanchine, Graham, Taylor, Horton, Forsythe, Release, African, and tap. Entering her senior year of high school, Margaret is excited about this opportunity to grow with Frazee Feet Dance, joining the company as an apprentice for this season.
